BitMEX forbids recording and streaming Tangle in Taipei; Roubini is furious
- Nouriel and Arthur exchanged critical remarks and accusations.
- The recording of the event is held by BitMEX, but they won't show it until it is edited.

What a disappointment for those who grabbed popcorn to watch the streaming of Roubini-Hayes debate!
The long-awaited face-to-face meeting of vocal bitcoin critic Nouriel Roubini and the head of BitMEX Arthur Heyes was banned from recording or streaming by the request of the organizers.
"Unfortunately, the livestream of the Tangle in Taipei featuring @CryptoHayes and @Nouriel is OFF at the request of organizers. I will write up an account of the event as quickly as possible. I'm as disappointed as you are," Mike Dudas from The Block Genesis wrote in his Twitter.
He said that the organizers would not allow him to record the event on iPhone, though he managed to take written notes and provided a summary of the epic battle.
Basically, the debate turned into a scandal and a blame-game, which is quite typical for all disputes where Mr. Roubini expresses his views on cryptocurrencies. He pointed out to the recent scandals in the industry to emphasize the lack of security and speculative nature of the nascent type of assets and the technology as a whole.
Meanwhile, Arthur Hayes accused him of ignorance. He also mentioned that the system allows people avoiding government regulation and surveillance.
"People love to speculate; We're just trying to give them an opportunity to do it in a safe manner," he said.
According to Mike Dudas, the debate was full of heated and solid arguments on both sides.
"I understand why Nouriel is so upset that BitMEX forbid reporters from live streaming or audio recording. It was a nearly dead-even debate, and both men made strong arguments. I might even call it 52/48 for Nouriel," he commented.
