USD/JPY - 108.82.. Despite extending rebound from yesterday's New York low at 108.85 to 109.27 in Australia earlier today, failure to re-test Monday's 1-week high of 109.37 triggered broad-based yen buying, the pair fell back to 108.73 ahead of Tokyo lunch break after tripping stops below 108.85.
Although dlr's intra-day weakness suggests near term upmove from last week's low at 106.93 (Wed) has made a temporary top and sideways swings are in store.
Offers have been lowered to 109.10/20 and more above with stops reported above 109.40. Bids are noted at 108.75/70 with stops touted below 108.60.
Eco. calendar is very light in the U.S. where 2nd-teir Redbook sales and JOLTS job openings will be released.
