Analysts at TD Securities point out that BoE Deputy Governor Jon Cunliffe speaks to the Cumbria Chamber of Commerce at noon BST and they'll be looking carefully for any signals that he might vote for a rate hike in August.
“At this point, it takes only two more MPC members to join the three June dissenters to hike rates, and it sounds like Governor Carney is already in that camp. A positive tone from Cunliffe should, therefore, reinforce a rate hike next month.”
