Sources: USTR Lighthizer to meet Japan economy minister for talks on May 24 – Reuters

Reuters came out with a news report on early Monday citing unnamed sources that the US Trade Representative (USTR) Robert Lighthizer will travel to Japan to meet the economy minister for further trade talks.
The US recently refrained from auto tariffs for three months but is constantly in talks with the EU and Japanese lawmakers to build new trade ties.
The White House earlier threatened to impose fresh tariffs on its car imports where the EU and Japan were likely to be most hit.
