IMF's Lagarde: Risks of sharper decline in global growth has risen

"The global recession is not yet around the corner but the risk of sharper decline in global growth has certainly increased," the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director (MD) Christine Lagarde said while speaking in a press conference following the release of the IMF's World Economic Outlook Update.
The IMF today announced that it has lowered its global growth outlook to 3.5% for 2019, the lowest reading since 2015.
