The precious metals sector treaded water in the last session, with gold relatively unchanged amid stability in currency markets, according to analysts at ANZ.
“The strong jobs reports in the US on Friday continued to remain a concern for investors, with expectations of a quicker than expected pace of rate rises. The heavy selling in equity markets has failed to spark any significant flows of capital into the sector; although there are signs that there is some safe haven buying starting to emerge.”
