Fitch: Australia's budget update reinforces improving outlook

The US-based Fitch Ratings is out with the latest review on the Australian Treasury’s mid-year fiscal and economic outlook (MYEFO) published earlier this week.
Key Points:
“It expects the gross public debt ratio to peak in 2018 & the fiscal balance to brought into surplus by 2021.
Australia’s economy and fiscal performance are vulnerable to negative global economic developments.
And that there are risks to Australia’s economy and fiscal performance from a faster than expected rise in interest rates in the US.”
