Australia’s Trade Minister: Open to further discussions with China to resolve the issue

Australian Trade Minister Dan Tehan appeals to the World Trade Organization (WTO) to establish a dispute settlement panel to address barley duties by China.

The Sino-Australian trade row dates back to May 2020 when Beijing imposed tariffs on Australian-grown barley, claiming farmers had dumped the grain in China for cheaper than it cost to produce.
