There’s a total of three publications regarding the UK economy out at 8:30 in the morning, including the high importance Consumer Price Index for August. The 12 month inflation rate accelerated in July by one tenth of a percent to 2 and a half percent. House Price Index stats for July and Producer Price figures for August will be available at the same time. US Housing Starts and Building Permits for August continue the data run at a half past noon GMT. Both permits and starts rose slightly in July. ECB President Mario Draghi will deliver a closely watched speech in Berlin at 1 PM. Then there’s a potential Kiwi Dollar shaker out at a quarter to 11 PM, when the second quarter New Zealand GDP stats will be available. Economy expanded at a pace of a half a percent in the year’s opening quarter, but growth is expected to pick up the pace in the three months to June. The publication of the Reserved Bank of Australia Bulletin wraps up this agenda at 1:30 in the morning.
