Equity markets across Asia are poised for a potential rise on Thursday, buoyed in part by the initial gains seen in Nvidia shares during after-hours trading in the United States following the company's fourth-quarter earnings report.

Investors will also be glossing over the hawkishly skewed details of the U.S. Federal Reserve's January meeting. These minutes revealed that policymakers are concerned about the potential risks of cutting interest rates too soon. Additionally, the 20-year UST auction reception was far less enthusiastic than expected.

USDJPY has jumped higher on the combination of more cautiously hawkish Fed minutes and weaker US bond auction that have nudged  US yields higher.

Nevertheless, as trading kicks off, much of the attention is likely to be focused on Nvidia.

The company's fourth-quarter revenue surpassed expectations, and its first-quarter outlook exceeded analysts' forecasts. After the closing bell on Wednesday, Nvidia's shares surged by 7%, albeit amid significant volatility in trading.
