The Reserve Bank of New Zealand's governor, Adrian Orr has said that record-low international interest rates are a new challenge facing the Bank.

RBNZ in favourable position with OCR at 1%.
Bank needs to be prepared for the unanticipated.

The positive outlook for the precious metal, however, remains underpinned by steady bets for extra easing by the Fed.
