As predicted an upside day

USD: Dec '26 is up at 102.100.

Energies: Dec '26 Crude is up at 102.31.

Financials: The Dec '26 30 Year T-Bond is Lower by 2 ticks and trading at 107.14

Indices: The Sep '26 S&P 500 Emini ES contract is 14 ticks Lower and trading at 7711.00.

Gold: The Dec'26 Gold contract is trading down at 4007.20.

Initial conclusion

This is not a correlated market. The USD is Up and Crude is Up which is not normal, and the 30-Year T-Bond is trading Lower.  The Financials should always correlate with the US dollar such that if the dollar is Higher, then the bonds should follow and vice-versa. The S&P is Lower and Crude is trading Higher which is correlated. Gold is trading Down which is correlated with the US dollar trading Up.  I tend to believe that Gold has an inverse relationship with the US Dollar as when the US Dollar is down, Gold tends to rise in value and vice-versa. Think of it as a seesaw, when one goes Up the other goes Down.  Asia traded Mixed.    All of Europe is currently Lower.

We've elected to switch gears a bit and show correlation between the 2-year Treasury notes (ZT) and the S&P futures contract.  The YM contract is the Dow Jones Industrial Average, and the purpose is to show reverse correlation between the two instruments.  Remember it's likened to a seesaw, when up goes up the other should go down and vice versa.

Yesterday the two year dived climbed higher at around 8 AM EST with no major news pending.  The Dow dived Lower at around the same time.  Look at the charts below and you'll see a pattern for both assets. The ZT climbed Higher at around 8 AM EST and the Dow dived Lower around the same time.  These charts represent the newest version of Bar Charts, and I've changed the timeframe to a 15-minute chart to display better.  This represented a Long opportunity on the 2-year note, as a trader you could have netted about a dozen ticks per contract on this trade.  Each tick is worth $6.25.  Please note: the front month for the ZT is now Dec '26.  I've changed the format to filled Candlesticks (not hollow) such that it may be more apparent and visible.

Bias

Yesterday as predicted the markets climbed Higher. The Dow gained 146 points, and the other indices gained ground as well.  Today our bias is Mixed or Neutral.

Could this change? Of Course. Remember anything can happen in a volatile market.

Commentary

Yesterday we suggested an Up day for the markets and the markets didn't disappoint.  All we did was to use our rules of Market Correlation to make that determination.

AUD/USD eyes 100-SMA hurdle near 0.7035 as hawkish RBA counters firmer USD

AUD/USD regains positive traction on Tuesday and climbs to 0.7030 during the Asian session, reversing the previous day's corrective slide from a one-month high as hawkish RBA rate expectations continue to support the Aussie. Spot prices, however, remain below the 100-day SMA pivotal resistance amid a firmer US Dollar as traders brace for Australia’s September CPI report on Wednesday ahead of the Fed rate decision.

USD/JPY sticks to modest gains above 157.50 as traders await Fed, BoJ meetings

USD/JPY attracts buyers for the third straight day, recovering further from a one-month low ahead of Wednesday’s FOMC decision and the BoJ policy update on Friday. Meanwhile, expectations that the BoJ may hold off on aggressive rate hikes weigh on the Japanese Yen, and the US Dollar advances to a nearly two-week high, supporting the currency pair.

Gold sticks to intraday losses around $4,000 as USD stays firm ahead of FOMC

Gold maintains its offered tone through the first half of Tuesday’s European session, with bearish traders looking to extend the slide further below the $4,000 psychological mark amid a broadly firmer US Dollar. The precious metal, however, holds above the three-month low touched on Monday, as traders refrain from placing aggressive directional bets and opt to wait for the outcome of the two-day FOMC policy meeting on Wednesday.

Pi Network stalls as weak crypto sentiment caps recovery

Pi Network (PI) holds steady above $0.0760 at press time on Tuesday, stalling after a roughly 2% rebound the previous day. The broader market's weak sentiment and reduced trading volume weigh on the PI token. The technical outlook is bearish, with price capped below a long-term resistance trendline and weak momentum.

France tests the Euro's nerve: What the OAT spread is telling FX traders
France's 10-year borrowing premium over Germany hit its widest since the 2011 debt crisis last week. With public spending above 57% of GDP, unrest on the streets and a presidential election next spring, cuts look unlikely. If Paris cannot trim, the bill may be paid quietly through financial repression.
What November 3 means for the Fed's rate path and the US Dollar

The USD faces a decisive period ahead of the November 3 midterm elections. While markets anticipate another interest rate increase from the Fed in December, the battle for control of Congress could reshape fiscal policy expectations and, indirectly, the path of US monetary policy in 2027.
