President Trump: US could ‘take the oil in Iran’

Reuters is reporting the latest comments delivered by US President Donald Trump in his interview with the Financial Times (FT).

Separately, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported on Monday, citing US officials, that Trump is weighing the military operation to extract Iran’s uranium.

“Washington is also pushing for Iran to hand over the material via negotiations, avoiding a high-risk ground operation,” per WSJ.

Market reaction

The US Dollar Index (DXY) is holding gains near 100.30, up 0.14% on the day, while WTI is adding 1.40% on the day at $100.40, as of writing.
