Interactive Brokers Group (NASDAQ: IBKR) has continued to follow our bullish Elliott Wave forecast, delivering a strong rally after our December 2025 analysis projected an upside target of $86. The latest price action confirms the anticipated bullish progression, with IBKR advancing beyond our initial target and reaching the100 region before entering a pullback.

Looking back: December 2025 Elliott Wave forecast

In our previous analysis, published on December 1, 2025, we identified a powerful bullish structure developing in IBKR. Following the completion of wave II at $8.43, the stock entered a new impulsive advance within wave (III). At that time, our Elliott Wave count suggested that price was progressing through the final stages of wave ((5)) of wave III. We projected an initial upside target of $86, with the potential for further extension. We also highlighted a longer-term Fibonacci target around $166.42 for wave V of (III).

The market subsequently followed the anticipated bullish path, delivering a rally of more than 50% within approximately 10 months and reaching our projected target.

Current outlook: Wave IV correction could offer buying opportunities

Looking at the updated monthly chart, IBKR appears to have completed wave III near the

100 region. Price is now showing signs of a corrective phase, potentially developing into wave IV. According to our Elliott Wave projection, wave IV could unfold as a corrective structure, with the $53.29 area acting as an important support reference. This pullback could offer another potential buying opportunity before the next impulsive advance.

Chart

Long-term target remains $166.42

Our broader bullish outlook remains intact as long as the key invalidation level at $8.43 holds. Once wave IV completes, IBKR could resume higher in wave V, targeting the 1.618 Fibonacci extension near $166.42.

Summary

Interactive Brokers has exceeded our previous $86 target, delivering a strong rally of more than 50% in approximately 10 months. Our Elliott Wave analysis now points to a potential wave IV correction, which could create another buying opportunity before the next advance toward the long-term target of $166.42.

Why strong US growth could not stop the bond rally and AI selloff

The US economy grew at a 3.4% annual rate, yet Treasury yields fell and the Nasdaq ended October with its worst monthly performance since March 2025. The market is no longer rewarding capital expenditure simply because it supports growth. Investors are testing whether that expenditure can produce cash flow and returns above the cost of capital.

The 2% inflation target came from a throwaway remark. It now moves trillions
The Federal Reserve's 2% inflation goal grew out of an off-the-cuff remark by a New Zealand politician in 1988. Bond investors still price long-term US debt as if 2% holds, so a change in how the Fed measures inflation would move markets.
