Australia’s Prime Minister (PM) Malcolm Turnbull played down speculations of an early election on Monday, as he faces a leadership challenge within his own party, Reuters reports.

At a news conference, Turnbull denied that he faces an imminent leadership challenge, noting that “can I say, I have, I enjoy the confidence of the Cabinet and of my party room.”
