Pi Network Price Forecast: PI holds firm as mainnet sees new ranking system update

  • Pi network edges higher on Friday, holding above its 50-day EMA at $0.0942.
  • Pi Core Team released an update introducing SoloHost app ranking based on running counts to improve discoverability.
  • The technical outlook for PI remains mildly bullish, with a focus on a breakout above $0.10.

Pi Network (PI) ticks higher on Friday, trading above $0.095, supported by its 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) around $0.0942. Core Team rolled out a new SoloHost app update introducing app ranking and other developer features. Pi Network must reclaim the $0.10 threshold to sustain an upside move.

Core Team shifts focus to discoverability

Pi Core Team released Pi Desktop version 0.6.3, previously called Pi Node versions, with improved app discovery and management, app reliability, and developer tools focused on SoloHost app creation and troubleshooting.

The introduction of SoloHost app ranking based on running counts will help users discover more active community apps, which is likely to improve developers’ utility-focused app creation process. Core Team also released a new SoloHost repository to assist with app creation using AI agents. The update also includes a new “My Apps” section to help developers find and manage their SoloHost apps, along with multiple bug fixes.

As per the Core Team’s social media post, “These updates further support SoloHost’s role in extending the utility of Pi Desktop and Nodes beyond blockchain infrastructure, giving Pioneers more ways to use their computers for self-hosted apps and developers more tools to build and bring apps into SoloHost.”

Technical outlook: Pi Network recovery stalls near crucial resistance zone

Pi Network trades around $0.0960 at press time on Friday, holding a neutral to slightly constructive tone. PI token continues to consolidate above the 20- and 50-day EMAs at $0.0935 and $0.0942, respectively, while remaining capped beneath the 100-day EMA at $0.1058 and well below the 200-day EMA near $0.1425.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) around 58 on the daily chart suggests modest bullish momentum.

From a technical perspective, PI must confirm a bullish breakout above the resistance cluster of the $0.1000 psychological threshold and the 100-day EMA at $0.1058 for a steady upside move. The 78.6% Fibonacci retracement, measured from $0.1341 to $0.0703, at $0.1168 could serve as the next bullish target ahead of the $0.1341 swing high.

PI/USDT daily price chart.

On the downside, immediate support emerges at the underlying 50-day EMA at $0.0942 and the 20-day EMA at $0.0935. A drop below this cluster would expose the 23.6% retracement at $0.0818, with stronger demand likely waiting near the structural low around $0.0703.
