BitTorrent defies bear market with ten-fold growth

  • BTT is now ten times more expensive than during the token sale.
  • TRON Foundation performed BTT airdrop for investors who failed to participate in ICO due to technical issues.

BitTorrent Token demonstrated an exponential growth. Now it is ten times more expensive than during the ICO. BTT/USD gained over 25% on Tuesday and touched $0.001106. Moreover, the trading volume doubled and reached $570 million in a single day. Currently, BTT is the token with the largest trading volumes on Binance. At the time of writing, BTT/USD is changing hands at $0.000957.

During the ICO BitTorrent token was offered at  $0,00012. However, the whole supply was sold out in less than 14 minutes. Many investors complained that they could not participate in the ICO due to technical issues. The head of Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao admitted that the platform experienced technical problems, though TRON Foundation, the issuer of the token, performed an airdrop for those who were not lucky during the main stage of the ICO. Each user got 5000 BTT.

TRON’s founder Justin Sun acquired BitTorrent in July 2018 with the aim to build the future of the decentralized International’s from a 100M user base of BitTorrent platform.

BTT is now tradable on many large exchanges, including Finance, OKEx, UpBit, and KuCoin.
