Fed's Kashkari: bank has room to cut rates in a fuure downturn

President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis Neel Kashkari was out on the wires a few minutes ago stating that the central bank has room to cut interest rates in a future downturn, but may also use other tools.
Kashkari, a critic of big banks, also assured markets that the big US banks are safer than they were 10 years ago.
