The Commodity Futures Trading Commission's weekly commitments of traders' report will be delayed due to a ransomware attack on ION trading UK.

The CFTC is an independent agency of the US government created in 1974 that regulates the U.S. derivatives markets, which include futures, swaps, and certain kinds of options.

In the prior report, speculators’ net long US Dollar index positions popped a little higher as noted by analysts at Rabobank. ''Earlier in the month they had reached their lowest level since July 2021.'' the cited that the hopes that the Fed would slacken the pace of rate hikes and also announce a cut before the end of the year have weighed on the USD. ''However, with long positions having been off-loaded, speculators are more vulnerable to hawkish commentary from the Fed.''
