Top Altcoins Price Forecast: Ripple, Cardano, Solana extend losses amid persistent selling pressure
- Ripple edges below $1.3000 on Tuesday, risking a bearish breakout below the $1.2941 support level.
- Cardano faces persistent selling pressure, extending losses to $0.20 and erasing the previous day's mild recovery.
- Solana extends losses for the sixth consecutive day, risking a breakout below the 200-day EMA at $98.28.
Top altcoins, including Ripple (XRP), Cardano (ADA), and Solana (SOL), face intense selling pressure, extending losses from the previous week. XRP tests the $1.2941 support floor, while ADA risks deeper losses and SOL struggles near the $100 mark.
Ripple risks breaking a crucial technical floor
Ripple trades at $1.2965 at press time on Tuesday, keeping a bearish near-term bias. XRP holds well below the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $1.3600 and the 200-day EMA at $1.3742.
From a technical perspective, the price continues to retreat after failing to sustain above the recent range highs and tests the $1.2941 support level set by the June 15 high. A confirmed breakout below this level could extend the decline toward the June 8 high at $1.1866.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 40 suggests only modest downside pressure rather than outright oversold conditions, while the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) remains slightly negative, hinting at weak bearish momentum.
XRP must reclaim the 50-day EMA at $1.3600, with a stronger barrier at the 200-day EMA at $1.3742 to ease the current bearish bias and open the way for a more constructive recovery phase.
Cardano extends the declining trend
Cardano hovers above $0.2000, extending a downside near-term bias after three consecutive bearish closes. The ADA price holds below the 50- and 200-day EMAs at $0.2240 and $0.2434, respectively, after it slipped beneath the former rising support trendline around $0.2398.
The RSI at 35 on the daily chart hovers just above oversold territory, while the MACD and signal line are below zero, hinting at persistent downside pressure.
A sustained breakout below $0.2000 could extend the decline toward the August 30 low at $0.1894. Deeper pullbacks could further expand the downside to the July 28 low at $0.1533.
On the topside, immediate resistance is seen at the 50-day EMA near $0.2240, followed by the reclaimed trendline around $0.2398, and then the 200-day EMA at $0.2434, which together define a dense supply band that bulls would need to overcome to shift the tone.
Solana risks losing the $100 mark
Solana trades below $100 at press time on Tuesday, marking its sixth consecutive day of trading in the red. SOL holds below the 50‑day EMA at $105.72 while testing the 200‑day EMA support at $99.15. A sustained daily close below the long-term moving average could test the rising support trendline at $86.87.
Downside pressure dominates, with the MACD below its signal line in the negative territory, and the RSI slipping toward oversold territory near 33.
Looking up, initial resistance emerges at the 50‑day EMA at $105.72, and a much higher horizontal barrier sits near the September 25 high around $122.94..
