Cryptocurrencies price prediction: XRP, Bitcoin & Cryptos – American Wrap 16 October

Bitcoin vs Gold Forecast: BTC slips under $82K, XAU eyes $4,200 amid easing rate-hike bets

Bitcoin (BTC) ticks down below $82,000 on Friday amid a tug-of-war between bulls and bears over the trend. While bulls appear to have the upper hand, backed by strong structural support, key supply levels at $84,000 and around $87,000 suggest the recovery could be an uphill battle.

XRP ticks up as Ripple and Cross River expand stablecoin payments

Ripple (XRP) ticks up for the second day in a row on Friday, trading at $1.34. The remittance token holds above medium-term structural support; however, strong supply near $1.40 caps upside.

Bitcoin and Gold find common pressure in the Dollar trade (BTC vs XAU)

Both Bitcoin and gold kicked off October, reacting to the same catalyst, though not in the same way. At 06:27 GMT on October 5, bitcoin sat near $85,929 after earlier creeping toward $87,000. Spot gold was slightly higher at $4,153.56 per ounce at 06:31 GMT, but a stronger dollar held back its rebound. U.S. financial conditions still steer the bitcoin vs gold narrative, even though the synchronized debasement rally from August now feels like a more fragile position.
