Cryptocurrencies Price Prediction: SPX6900, Bitcoin & Ripple – Asian Wrap 27 August

Crypto Overview: Bitcoin holds at $78,000 amid US PCE surprise – SPX6900, VeChain rally

SPX6900 trades at $0.6167, extending a strong bullish phase after reclaiming territory well above both the 50-day and 200-day EMAs at $0.3822 and $0.4066. This configuration suggests a firmly supportive trend backdrop. Momentum appears stretched, with the RSI holding deep in overbought territory near 85, and the MACD average lines maintaining a positive slope, hinting at robust but potentially overextended upside pressure.

Bitcoin also decoupled from US equities during the move. Over the squeeze window, BTC gained 25% while the S&P 500 declined 1.7%, pushing the one-month return correlation between the two toward zero. “Fast-window breaks like this mean-reverted within weeks twice in 2025, so the de-correlation is not yet structural; the slower quarterly window has only rolled over,” Glassnode added.

XRP tests key support as on-chain activity stays elevated

Ripple (XRP) extends its correction, testing $1.40 support on Wednesday on the backdrop of last week’s rally from $1.00 to highs of $1.70. Despite the remittance token falling for two consecutive days, it upholds a constructive technical structure, raising the odds of another breakout attempt toward the pivotal $2.00 target.
