Cryptocurrencies Price Prediction: Ethereum, Bitcoin & Crypto – European Wrap 17 September
Ethereum Price Forecast: ETH holds steady above $2,400 despite 25 bps rate hike
The Federal Reserve (Fed) hiked interest rates by 25 basis points on Wednesday, the first time in three years. The move pushed the federal funds target rate to 3.75-4.00%, as market participants largely anticipated. With both producer and consumer inflation ticking higher last week, investors had priced in the move as expectations of a hike jumped above 90% on the CME FedWatch tool before the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) sat down.

Bitcoin treasuries buy just 5.9K BTC in three months as paper losses linger
Onchain analytics platform Glassnode reveals that in 2026, listed companies bought around 5,900 BTC — less than 7% of their purchases in July 2025 alone. During that month, companies bought 89,000 BTC, even as BTC/USD traded above $100,000.

Crypto Today: Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP stabilize defying macro headwinds and ETF outflows
Bitcoin (BTC) is showing resilience, trading up above $76,000 on Thursday. The uptick follows the United States (US) Federal Reserve (Fed) decision that hiked interest rates the day before. Meanwhile, Ethereum (ETH) gains momentum toward $2,500, suggesting the return of bulls as macro headwinds settle. Ripple (XRP), on the other hand, remains stable, trading around $1.30, reinforced by short- to medium-term moving averages.
