Brett King headlines FX.world speaker line-up as AI, commercial growth and prop trading take centre stage

FX.world is bringing to Rome an international selection of financial industry leaders, technology experts and independent thinkers, Brett King, the acclaimed fintech futurist, being one of the main speakers.

The event, which will take place at Fiera Roma from 02 to 05 November 2026, will use three of its days to host discussions on financial technology, brokerage innovation, artificial intelligence and the changing structure of global trading markets.

In keeping with the wider SiGMA World method of organising conference programmes, FX.world wishes to present a variety of different viewpoints. The event's programme not only features CEOs and senior executives but also includes strategic thinkers, experienced traders, technology innovators and specialists whose work involves public policy and financial regulation.

Brett King brings the future of banking into focus

Brett King, who is a best-selling author, an entrepreneur and a futurist known internationally, is famous for looking at the way technology alters financial services.

The one of the persons that founded Moven and who hosts the “Breaking Banks” and “The Futurists” podcasts has given talks at various major international conferences, such as those held at TED. Moreover, his experience goes beyond the private sector since he provided advice to the Obama administration regarding fintech policy and financial regulators in international markets.

At FX.world, King will give a talk entitled “Bank 5.0: The Rise of Autonomous Banking in a Smart World” in which he will look at how artificial intelligence could transform the basic foundations of banking.

His keynote will look at a financial system in which autonomous AI agents gradually take over the management of transactions, make financial decisions and interact with services without the need for constant human involvement.

The issues raised apply to banks, brokers and fintech companies too: what sort of adaptation will the financial infrastructure make when software starts acting on the customer's behalf?

Commercial growth through international partnerships

In addition to the keynote programme, FX.world will also gather executives from a number of well-established financial companies.

The session on “Driving Growth in FX: Commercial Strategies that Lead to Success” will include Carla Nemr, who is the Global Director of Business Development at CFI, Marios Chailis, the CMO of the Libertex Group, Menelaos Menelaou, one of the Co-CEOS of XM, and Gil Ben Hur, the founder of the 5% Group.

Drosoula Hadjisavva, who is Head of Conferences at SiGMA and Head of Marketing at FX.world, will also take part in the discussion.

The session will look at how brokers and fintech companies can deal with international expansion, form local partnerships and adjust their business strategies to suit different markets.

The panel, which includes people from companies operating in various regions, will provide views on the practical decisions involved in achieving sustainable growth.

AI moves from market analysis to trading applications

Another major topic will be artificial intelligence in the conference programme.

The session on "AI-Driven Trading & Prediction Markets” will examine the increasing role of predictive analytics, automated tools and data-driven technologies in financial trading.

The speakers at Fx.world 2026 include Alexander Gerchik, a Wall Street trader and co-founder of Gerchik & Co, and Thomas Kareklas, director of the Retail Forex & CFD Brokers Division at BridgeWise.

Vince De Castro, CMO of Acuity Trading, Avramis Despotis, founder and CEO of Tradepedia, and Rauan Khassan, Chief Growth Officer at TradingView, will also be there.

The conversation will examine the ways in which financial businesses can turn advances in AI into practical applications, including improvements in market analysis and more personalised trading experiences.

The problem facing brokers and providers of trading technology is not merely about working out what AI is capable of, but rather about deciding where it can provide real value.

Prop trading faces its next stage of development

The quick growth of proprietary trading has opened up opportunities for brokers, platforms and technology suppliers, but it has also introduced new operational and regulatory issues.

The issues in question will be dealt with in “The Prop Trading Firms Roadmap, Tech, Growth & Cross-Border Challenges”.

The panel will include Ruben Abitbol, founder and CEO of RUBIK, Gil Ben Hur from the 5% Group, Lubomir Marasi, commercial director at Axcera, and Serhii Poplavskyi, who is head of the Match-Trader platform at Match-Prop.

Snir Ahiel, who is the Head of Risk & Consulting at PIPCY, and Sam Bradbury, Vice President of Business Development at Quant Technology Group, will finish the discussion.

They will together look at ways in which proprietary trading firms can improve their technology infrastructure, cope with regulatory scrutiny and deal with the problems they encounter when expanding into other countries.

As the sector develops, concerns about risk management, business models and long-term sustainability are becoming more and more important.

Bringing different perspectives to the Global Finance Stage

The Fx.world programme demonstrates the variety of challenges confronting the financial industry, ranging from King's vision of autonomous banking through to practical talks on brokerage growth, AI applications and proprietary trading.

The event seeks to promote discussion that goes beyond current business priorities by combining experienced executives with individuals coming from outside traditional corporate leadership.

The programme for the FX.world conference will take place from 03 to 05 November at the Global Finance Stage in Hall 8 of Fiera Roma.
