US: Attention to shift towards Fed speak - TDS

According to the analysts at TDS, with a fairly empty US data calendar, attention will shift towards New York Fed President Dudley’s speech at 16:30 ET and other Fed speakers today.
Key Quotes
“Dudley is a key barometer for the core of the FOMC and has not yet stated how many hikes he expects in 2017. Dudley’s speech will be complemented by events featuring Mester, Kaplan and Williams—none of whom are 2017 voters.”
“Looking past the Fed, revisions for the third print of Q4 GDP are expected by the market to come in modestly higher at 2.0% q/q (saar), up 0.1% from the second print. Initial jobless claims are expected to decline considerably to 247k, in line with the 4-week average.”
