German elections to be Merkel's next big test - Bloomberg

According to reporting by Bloomberg, German regional elections are expected to be telling about Chancellor Angela Merkel's current state of authority within Germany, with declining polls threatening the chancellor's seat under growing dissatisfaction under Merkel's rule, even Merkal tries desperately to keep her Eurozone in one piece.
This Sunday sees a regional election that will be acting as a bellwether for Merkel's rule over Germany, where Merkel's Christian Democratic Union has held the state of Hesse, which includes Frankfurt, firmly since 1999, but the CDU is seeing poor polling numbers in the run-up to this weekend's vote, and growing public ire towards the chancellor is seeing the current CDU-CSU coalition under pressure, six weeks ahead of a re-election bid for Merkel within her own CDU party.
