Covid vaccine: Pfizer says new data shows one dose is 93% effective after 2 weeks

The US drugmaker Pfizer Inc. urged a change in policy to single dosing of its covid vaccine, saying that the new data shows one dose is 93% effective after two weeks, almost as good as two doses, according to New England Journal of Medicine letters.
Meanwhile, Moderna Inc. said that the vaccine is good against all variants except probably the South African variant.
Market reaction
As markets turn cautious, digesting the latest surge in the US Treasury yields, the risk sentiment is taking a beat in the Asian trades this Thursday.
Mixed vaccine news also seems to weigh on the market mood.
The S&P 500 futures are down 0.25% on the day, trading near 3,918, as of writing.
