China’s Commerce Ministry: Both sides should push for Sino-US phase one trade deal implementation

Both sides should push for the implementation of the Sino-US phase one trade deal, China’s Commerce Ministry spokesman Gao Feng told a news conference on Thursday.
This follows the first virtual call between the US Trade Representative Katherine Tai and China’s Vice-Premier Liu He, in which they had candid and constructive trade talks.
Separately, Bloomberg reports that China is said to raise limits on offshore borrowing for foreign banks.
Market reaction
The US-China trade talks fuel the risk-on action in the equities while driving AUD/USD back above 0.7750, at the time of writing.
