Coinbase UK launches 24/5 trading for 4,000 US stocks

  • Coinbase announced that nearly 4,000 US stocks are now available to UK users for trading 24 hours a day, five days a week.
  • Coinbase UK gives users access to US stocks with zero commission and fractional shares.
  • The new offering follows the recently announced savings account and borrowing products in the UK.

Coinbase announced the launch of 4,000 US stocks available for trading in the United Kingdom (UK). The new product offering provides US market exposure for retail traders at zero commission, with the added benefit of fractional share trading. Coinbase continues to expand its offerings following the recent launch of savings and borrowing products, building toward an “Everything Exchange” model, similar to the decentralized Hyperliquid.

Coinbase rolls out 4,000 US stocks in the UK

Coinbase becomes the first-ever crypto-native trading app to offer US-listed stocks in the UK, enabling UK traders to buy, sell, and manage 4,000 select US equities 24/5. Coinbase is launching a new trading feature with zero commissions and fractional shares, expecting that the ease of access and availability will boost retail participation.

Traders can fund their trades with both Circle’s US Dollar-linked (USD) USDC stablecoin and Great British Pound (GBP) starting from 1 Pound. In addition, Coinbase One members can earn uncapped rewards on their USDC trades.

The announcement follows the launch of the savings account and crypto-linked borrowing for UK users. Saving accounts powered by ClearBank offer eligible Coinbase users in the UK the opportunity to earn 3.75% AER interest (variable), paid daily, with instant access and FSCS protection on their British pounds (GBP).

On the other hand, crypto-linked borrowing on Morpho allows users in the UK to borrow USDC by collateralizing their BTC, ETH, or cbETH.

Coinbase's expansion from a crypto-focused exchange into traditional finance, building toward its long-term mission of an “Everything Exchange” model.

Despite the launch of new features, Coinbase (COIN) shares face downside pressure amid broader risk-off sentiment in the cryptocurrency market. At the time of writing, COIN traded at $150 in pre-market trading, down more than 60% from its all-time high of $444 in July 2025.
