As Brazil’s retail investor base grows, brokers turn to ADVFN Brazil

With 5.6 million Brazilians now holding shares, ETFs or other listed investments, brokers are competing hard for their attention. Many are doing it on ADVFN Brazil.

Brazil’s retail traders keep multiplying, and the brokers chasing them are picking their advertising budgets carefully. For many of them, that means ADVFN Brazil, the Portuguese-language platform of financial information group ADVFN.

The site has served millions of Brazilian retail investors for around two decades and has become a go-to advertising channel for retail brokers, according to the company. Its draw is an audience of self-directed traders who come for real-time prices, market news and stock forums.

A growing market

The numbers help explain the interest. B3, Brazil’s stock exchange, counted 5.6 million individual investors in shares and other listed products in the first quarter of 2026. That was up 6% on a year earlier.

Other measures are rising faster still. The number of retail ETF investors jumped 35% to 823,400, and the value of shares held directly by individuals climbed 19% to R$435.6 billion.

For brokers, that means a bigger and more sophisticated pool of potential clients, and stiffer competition to win them.

Where the investors are

ADVFN Brazil’s pitch to brokers rests on context. Visitors track prices in the site’s stock Monitor, follow the day’s stories on ADVFN News and debate individual companies in its forums.

A broker’s message appears where investors are actively tracking share prices and discussing market opportunities, supported by the credibility of an established international brand.

Measuring the return

For brokers, every channel must justify its budget. ADVFN says campaigns on its Brazilian site deliver a strong return on investment, and that many broker clients renew their campaign after completion.

Advertisers can choose from high-impact display Spotlight, Billboard and Top Banner placements as well as eDM`s, advertorials and broker listings.

ADVFN Awards

Separately, nominations are open for the ADVFN International Financial Awards until 15 December 2026, with awards covering areas such as online trading, stockbroking and foreign exchange.
