China’s Dec trade data (USD): Surplus unexpectedly widens

The China customs published trade balance for Dec in USD terms, reporting a big beat on expectations in the trade surplus.
In USD terms,
Trade Balance (USD) Dec came in at 54.69B surplus versus 37.0B exp and 40.2B previous.
Exports (YoY) Dec: +10.9% (est. +10.8% and 12.3% last)
Imports (YoY) Dec: +4.5% (est. +15.1% and 17.7% last)
