Canadian govt official: NAFTA is a trilateral agreement

A Canadian government official has recently crossed the wires saying that NAFTA was a trilateral agreement and they would continue to negotiate that trilateral agreement, as reported by Reuters.
"This is not the first time the U.S. has mused about breaking NAFTA talks into bilateral negotiations," the official further explained and concluded by saying that both sides' negotiators were still in touch and "would continue to negotiate."
Earlier in the session, Mexican Economy Minister Ildefonso Guajardo also stated that he was in favor of maintaining a trilateral NAFTA agreement.
