Aggelos Armenatzoglou is the Head of Dealing at Deriv, overseeing risk management, trading operations, fraud and liquidity provision. He is the architect for the dealing team strategy and its contribution to Deriv's growth. With over 15 years of experience in financial markets, Aggelos specialises in revenue optimisation, operational efficiency, user experience enhancement, and growth. His leadership ensures Deriv maintains the highest standards of performance and compliance.
Since joining Deriv in 2016, Aggelos has held key roles such as Head of CFDs Trading and Head of Trading at Deriv Investments Europe. He started as a Quantitative Analyst and led various teams over the years. Additionally, he has the role of product owner for the CFDS platforms and through that, he led efforts for liquidity improvements, asset offerings, new trading functionalities and account types. He also has contributed to cross-department projects to optimise user journeys, coordinate marketing efforts, and increase user conversion and engagement.
Prior to Deriv, Aggelos worked as a Business Analyst at International Life in Athens (ILA) and as a Credit Risk Analyst at Calculus Global Services Ltd., gaining a comprehensive understanding of the financial industry.
Aggelos holds a PhD in Business Administration and Management and a master’s degree in Financial and Actuarial Mathematics from the University of the Aegean.
