Forecast for April 14-18, 2014


Next week will be filled with macro and microeconomic data from the major world’s economies.

Let us revise key events of the week.

Monday, April 14
First working day will start with publication of industrial manufacturing in Eurozone. According to experts’ expectations, its monthly value should grow by 0.2%.

Traders’ attention will switch to the US during the day, when retail sales index that should grow by 0.4% (monthly value) will be published.

Change of the Business Inventories in the USA will be published at the end of the day.

Tuesday, April 15
Australia will publish a protocol of the last RBA’s meeting early in the morning. AUD can be volatile.

Traders will follow British CPI publication at 11:30 a.m. GMT+3. If inflation grows, then pound can go up.

ZEW will publish German Business Economic Sentiment index in the afternoon (GMT+3). Traders will pay attention to the publication of stats about consumer inflation in the USA at 3:30 p.m. (GMT+3)

Wednesday, April 16
New Zealand will present its CPI at 1:45 a.m. (GMT+3)

China will publish key economic indices, such as GDP and industrial manufacturing, at 5 o’clock in the morning. If China’s growth rate decreases, then a correction can start on commodity and raw materials markets and stock markets. AUD, CAD and RUB can get under pressure.

Traders interested in GBPUSD will pay attention to the British labor market at 11:30 a.m. (GMT+3), when unemployment level and a number of requests for unemployment benefits will be published. According to experts’ expectations, an unemployment level should decrease from 7.2% to 7.1%.

Inflation data from Eurozone will get in the limelight of traders’ attention in the afternoon. Weak inflation data can trigger a decrease of EURUSD.

Canadian dollar will be volatile at 4 p.m. The Bank of Canada will announce its decision on the interest rate. Experts do not expect a change of the rate.

Traders should also pay attention to the real-estate market info and industrial manufacturing changes in the US.

Thursday, April 17
Germany and Canada will publish important info about the inflation on Thursday. The US will present the Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index at 5 p.m. According to experts, it should grow from 9 to 9.8 points.

Friday, April 18
Good Friday will be celebrated in many countries on April 18th, and key stock exchanges of the US and Europe will be closed. Forex will have a calm trading session. Please check trading schedule changes on our website.
