Wayne McDonell has been trading the currency markets in the public eye since 2005. In 2007 he became a member of the National Futures Association, was licensed as a Commodities Trading Advisor and registered Sound FX Capital Management as a Forex Trading firm.
He is also the founder and Chief Currency Coach of FXBOOTCAMP.com; one of the very first live training rooms. It coaching staff of 5 coaches has trained many thousands of traders over the course of 10 years.
Over the years, FXStreet has honored FX Bootcamp with the “Best Forex Blog”, “Best Forex Webinar”, and “Best Educational Webinar” awards. His “Non-Farm Payrolls Live” webinar has become one of the most popular forex events of all time. He was also a keynote speaker at the FXstreet.com International Traders Conference in October 2007 - Barcelona.
Previous to FX, Mr. McDonell coached hundreds of entrepreneurs and executives. He spoke at dozens of business conferences around the world. He held stints as small silicon valley companies, including Cisco Systems and Apple Computers before becoming a successful independent entrepreneur. As a venture capitalist, he as invested in over 100 consumer and industrial patents.
Wayne McDonell has been involved with a non-profit organization for over 25 years. His is currently a board advisor to AIESEC (Georgia Institute of Technology), an international student organization focus on developing leadership skill through real world work experiences in other cultures. He was also elected (1 year term) to the Board of Directors in 1995 for AIESEC United States, Inc, which also included legendary currency trader George Soros.
