The Federal Reserve keeps rates unchanged at 0.25%

The Federal Reserve’s Monetary Policy Committee has decided by 10 votes to 0 to keep interest rates unchanged at all-time low 0.25%, and affirmed that economic conditions are “likely to warrant exceptionally low levels of the federal funds rate for an extended period.”

The European Central Bank

ECB Leaves Refi Rate Unchanged At 1.0%

The European Central Bank left its key interest rate unchanged at 1.00% Thursday, as widely expected. The ECB didn't immediately give a reason for its decisions, but President Jean-Claude Trichet will comment at a press conference scheduled for 1330 GMT.

BOJ’s Shirkawa- deflation and low rates here to stay
