Canada’s GDP falls 0.6% in May

Canada's gross domestic product declined 0.6% in May to CAD 1.65 trillion, marking the largest monthly drop since March 2009, Statistics Canada said Friday.
Expectations were for a 0.5% decline following previous month’s 0.1% increase.
According to Statistics Canada the overall decline in May was mainly due to lower non-conventional oil extraction.
