Canada: Current account deficit expands less than expected in Q2

Canada’s current account deficit widened to CAD 19.86 billion in the second quarter, Statistics Canada said Tuesday. Market expectations were for a CAD 20.5 billion deficit.
The deficit on international trade in goods expanded CAD 4.8 billion to a record CAD 11.3 billion in the second quarter, said Statistics Canada. This was the third straight quarterly increase of the goods deficit.
