GBP futures: upside gains extra steam

CME Group’s advanced data for GBP futures markets noted traders added nearly 7K contracts on Monday vs. Friday’s final 196,915 contracts. Additionally, volume rose by around 4.3K contracts.

GBP/USD points to 1.44 and above

The rally in Cable remains unabated so far today and is recording fresh post-Brexit peaks in the boundaries of the key barrier at the 1.44 mark. The up move in the pair comes on the back of a healthy uptick in open interest and volume, which adds extra conviction to the move.
