EUR futures: cautious ahead of key week
|According to CME Group’s advanced figures for EUR futures markets, investors added just 429 contracts to their open interest positions on Friday from Thursday’s final 586,160 contracts. Volume, instead, shrunk for the second session in a row, this time by almost 41K contracts.
EUR/USD could still test the 1.1900 area
The recovery in EUR/USD from recent new cycle lows around 1.1500 the figure remains well and sound so far today, although a follow through after clinching tops in the 1.1840 region remains elusive. The recent up move has been on the back of rising open interest, while the sharp drop in volume warns against the continuation of the up tick.
