Brexit: Speculation of a third Meaningful Vote on March 28th after May's 1922 committee appearance, Rees-Mogg's shift

UK PM Theresa May will address the 1922 Committee of her Conservative Party on Wednesday at 17:00 GMT. The announcement about the appearance in front of the backbencher group comes after support for her Brexit deal is on the rise.

Jacob Rees-Mogg, the head of the European Research (ERG) group is now supporting the Brexit accord. Other Brexit supporters are also coalescing around the agreement in fear of no Brexit at all. The Northern Irish Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) remains opposed to it.

The news of May's appearance has raised speculation that May will bring a third Meaningful Vote of the deal to Parliament on Thursday, March 28th. Paul Goodman, the editor of Conservative Home, has raised the option. His website published Rees-Mogg's new approach.

Goodman also says May would maximize her chances of passing the deal if she sets out a date in which she steps down and resigns as PM.

GBP/USD continues trading on higher ground above 1.3200 on fresh hopes that a no-deal Brexit can be avoided. Parliament will hold indicative votes on alternative Brexit solutions on Wednesday, probably after May's 1922 Committee appearance.
