USTR to suspend China tariff hike 'until further notice' – Reuters

After receiving few downbeat comments from the US representative Robert Lighthizer during early Wednesday that shows tough road ahead for the US-China trade negotiations, Reuters came up with good news for global trade watchers. The news report validates latest statements from the US President Donald Trump concerning tariff hikes on Chinese goods.

“The U.S. Trade Representative’s office said on Wednesday it would move to formally suspend a scheduled tariff increase on Chinese goods “until further notice” following President Donald Trump’s decision to delay his Friday deadline for a U.S.-China trade deal amid progress in their talks,” the report says.
