UK PM Johnson: Not aiming for a no deal Brexit

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is now crossing the wires, reiterating that they are not aiming for a no-deal Brexit and that they don't think that it where they will end up.

"It is up to our friends across the channel," Johnson said. "If the EU doesn't compromise we have to prepare for no-deal Brexit."

Johnson also repeated his stance with regards to the Withdrawal Agreement, repeating that it "won't work." Regarding the volatility surrounding the British pound, Johnson said that the government does not comment on the currency.

The GBP/USD pair doesn't seem to be paying much attention to these comments and was last seen trading at 1.2165, down 0.42% on the day.
