EUR futures: extra losses likely near term

Open interest in EUR futures markets noted investors added nearly 3K contracts to their open interest positions on Friday from Thursday’s final 510,218 contracts, reaching the second consecutive build according to advanced data from CME Group. Volume, in the meantime, rose by around 3.2K contracts.

EUR/USD still targets 2019 lows near 1.1100

EUR/USD is prolonging the leg lower further south of the 1.1200 handle and remains on track to test the YTD lows in the 1.1100 neighbourhood amidst rising open interest and volume.
