EUR Futures: extra gains in the pipeline

Open interest in EUR futures markets rose for the third session in a row on Thursday, this time by nearly 6.9K contracts according to advanced figures from CME Group. Volume, in the same line, increased by around 6.7K contracts, prolonging the choppy activity.

EUR/USD now focused on the 1.1160 region

The sharp move in EUR/USD on Thursday faltered just ahead of the 100-day SMA in the 1.1140 region. However, rising open interest and volume look supportive of further gains to, initially, late August tops in the 1.1160.65 band.
