EUR futures: decline appears limited

According to CME Group’s preliminary figures for EUR futures markets, investors trimmed their open interest positions by almost 10.1K contracts on Friday vs. Thursday’s final 485,860 contracts. In the same line, volume decreased considerable by around 123.3K contracts, offsetting the previous large build.

EUR/USD supported near 1.1500

Friday’s down tick in EUR/USD was on the back of shrinking volume and open interest, hinting at the likeliness that spot could attempt a rebound in the near term. The immediate area of support is seen around 1.1530/00, reinforced as well by the 10-day SMA.
