ECB's Vasiliauskas: Doesn't disagree with forecasts of ECB rate hike in six months

Lithuania's central bank Chief and European Central Bank (ECB) policymaker Vitas Vasiliauskas was reported by Reuters, as saying that he doesn’t disagree with forecasts of ECB rate hike in six months.

Vasiliauskas added that the ECB will look at geopolitics when discussing an end to QE.

His comments contradict the European money markets forecast that shows a less-than a 60 percent chance of a 10 basis point interest-rate rise from the ECB by mid-2019, Reuters reports. Investors scale back ECB rate hike bets after weak PMI - Reuters
