ECB staff to study if bank should buy junk corporate bonds – Reuters

The European Central Bank has asked its staff to study if it should start buying junk corporate bonds to fight the pandemic fallout, Reuters reported on Friday, citing four sources familiar with the matter.

"The sources said several policymakers remained unconvinced though a majority in favour might be found due to growing market pressure on the ECB to follow the US Federal Reserve," Reuters further reported.
