Breaking: Alibaba (BABA) reports Q1 2021 earnings, EPS beats, revenue misses, increases buyback

Alibaba (BABA) reported Q1 2021 earnings before the market opened on Tuesday. BABA reported earnings per share (EPS) of $2.57 versus the average Wall Street analyst estimate of $2.24. 

Revenue came in 34% higher at $31.85 versus the average estimate of $32.5 billion.

Alibaba has also increased its buyback program by 50% from $10 billion to $15 billion.

Alibaba (BABA) shares are trading at $198.49 in Tuesday's premarket, a change of -0.8%. BABA stock closed at $200.09 in Monday's regular session.
