BOE Credit Conditions Survey: Demand for mortages fell in Q4, expected to decrease in Q1

In its quarterly survey of the UK’s credit conditions, the Bank of England (BOE) highlights the following,

Bank report demand for mortages fell in Q4, expected to decrease in Q1.

Banks report demand for unsecured lending fell in Q4, demand for credit card borrowing expected to rise in Q1.

Banks report decrease in demand for corporate lending, expected to rise slightly for small firms, decrease for larger firms in Q1.
